BEAUTY INSPIRATION: Zhang Ziyi

Zhang Ziyi always looks so elegant and sophisticated. I love how her makeup is soft and not too ‘done’, with just the perfect touch of colour to eccentuate her delicate features. Her makeup takes to heart the concept ‘less is more’ and doesn't overpower her natural beauty.  Below are a few picks of lovely Zhang Ziyi looks.  Although the original intent for her makeup wasn't necessarily for a wedding, the colour schemes are applicable for any formal event.

(a) Peachy-Pink with shimmer.

Cheeks:  Nars Orgasm, contoured with golden brown bronzer

(c) Soft Smokey Eye
Key to the Look:  Black Liquid Eyeliner.  Line eyes with a liquid black liner and finish off with an upwards stroke. Do this after eyeshadow is blended in and smudged.
