When I heard Prescriptives was discontinuing their line back in January, I was disappointed I could no longer try out their products since i'd heard such great things. Prescriptives was one of those high-end brands that I'd been intrigued with but never caved in to make a purchase (probably b/c it was too $$$ lol). Fast forward to March. While at the MAC Warehouse sale, I came across the Prescriptives “Magic Powder” Translucent Powder and was smitten with my luck! Reason #1 it was a Rare Find - discontinued product. Reason #2 Offered at a huge discount at the MAC Sale. What a diamond in the rough!

The Magic: Instantly cools and diffuses light to minimize the look of lines, pores, and wrinkles. This ultralucent powder dusts on like a mist to set and enhance the effect of foundation.
I’ve been using the *Magic Powder for the past few days and love it! The best way I can describe it is a combination of sheer translucent powder + MAC Strobe Cream. It works just like a translucent powder but adds a hint of pearl shimmer (from the mica powder it contains) which gives my skin a radiant, dewy-looking glow without being too glittery. The hint of shimmer is subtle and not too loud so it's wearable for everyday. What I also like is its very fine texture, which is soft against my skin and it doesn't sink into my fine lines (*ahem* wrinkles *cough*) to accentuate them, like other illuminators / highlighters do. BEAUTY TIP: Apply *Magic Powder as a spot highlighter (on the browbone, under the eyes, down the nose) for a polished day-time look, and all over the face to add a bit of glam for an evening-look.
The other unique feature about this *Magic Powder" is its cooling sensation. Yes, when applied, the powder feels cool and wet from the high number of water molecules it contains. How "cool" is that??! :)
